The Blue Café is run by a full-time teacher, and it shows. Local schools hold student art shows here, local artists rotate through the space every month, and local makers get free shelf space to sell what they make. Music happens too, Friday and Saturday nights, but the identity is bigger than a stage: this is a room built for creative and learning work first.

Local artists rotate through The Blue Café roughly once a month. Every artist who hangs work here gets introduced: their name, their story, and a way to see more of what they make. Ask at the counter who’s currently up, or check back here as new introductions go live.
Built with local schools.
The Blue Café has already run this once, with a local high school: students created the artwork, ran the show’s social media and promotion, and spoke publicly about their own work in front of a real audience. It worked well enough that the plan is to repeat it, rotating among different local schools rather than sticking with just one.
The owner is a full-time teacher, and she’s interested in hosting events for teachers too, not only students. If you teach, run a school art or business program, or coordinate community partnerships, this is a room built to work with you.
Shelf space for local makers.
Local makers and vendors get shelf space in the cafe at no charge. The only ask is to keep the display clean and stocked. Rotation is welcome, so regulars see something new instead of the same inventory every visit.
Open to pop-ups and collaborations.
Have an idea that doesn’t fit a neat category? A pop-up, a one-time collaboration, something nobody’s tried in this room yet? The Blue Café is open to proposals that bring new people through the door.
